Thanks for posting Dave! I really enjoy the fun aspect you bring to sledding and seeing the fantastic manner you have been able to build your passions into the ultimate "work/life balance". Well done! Fully agree with you on the sledding addiction comments in the video as I've been hooked now for years and wouldn't have it any other way...

Say Dave I'm wondering what you can tell me about the Tyax for riding
Thanks

Tax lodge runs heli skiing in the winter so not sure you can stay at the lodge, every year can change so maybe now you can, the area around there is drier than the coast even though it is not that far, halfway over the hurley is where it turns more desert and less snow but quality is better. The heli skiing is good as they go into the park and are pretty high, lower down the snow is low and it is hit or miss. The shula-a are is much the same, it is like all the riding on the coast, it is sick but can happen quick and then when guys load up and drive up it is over and they go home and it hits again, so it is better to be here while it is happening. Hope that helps.

Thanks Dave, a friend had mentioned they had rode somewhere around this lodge and suggested we make a trip out there and ride. The way he described it sounded like some awesome sledding. I'll have to confirm but maybe we would stay there and drive to riding location???? He had mentioned we would have to bring fuel as it wasn't available there and that is certainly made clear on the Tyax website. We were a little unsure how welcoming they would be to sledders. Thoughts???? We are coming from the Sundre area.

Not worth it there, but more bralorne, and yes you can gas up and stay in liloet, bc and drive in and awesome stuff, you just have to hit it right. And also know where you're going. You can get into some pretty epic zones but it is high country so not a lot of anchors up that high and lots of avy activity. It is kind of an area you want to explore with someone who knows it well.
