Hi Folks
Did the ice depth testing this afternoon, not quite six inches, hold off on going out too far yet.
One thing that is happening is overflow when the ice is cracking, there is wet spots all over the Narrows, that is rare when the snow is only a few inches deep.
See you on the trails

Hi Folks
Well who wants to go riding, everyone right, well if you're coming out for a ride stay off the lake and the north creek, I will do some more testing on the weekend and it should be at around 6 to 8 inches and that's just not enough to satisfy me. There is lots of places to ride in the area, remember the muskeg is not likely frozen under the snow so be care full of that as well.

See you on the trails

Hi folks
Nope, we have about 6 inches, that's ok this will get the ice depth increased when we don't have too much snow.
It will come but I don't want it yet, after next weekend it can giver!!

Hey Folks
Another -25 night and no snow and it's still -21 at 8;30, this is like money in the bank when it comes to safe ice and good trails.
Blue (Natural) ice is the best ice, and with little cover on it now we can't ask for more, except for the looney tune that will try and drive his pickup on the lake this weekend to go fishing, not quite enough yet.
You can start your snow dance on Monday!

Hey Folks
Well the ice test went ok the only problem is there isn't enough ice, only 7 inches and that's not enough to
put the Rhino and me out there safely, maybe next week.
The guys are out ice fishing in the narrows, not sure if anyone is catching.
see you on the trails

Hi All
Well the ice is finally safe to travel on with the Rhino, after measuring the trail across from our beach to the
entrance across the lake and getting an average of 8 plus inches it's grooming time.
NOW REMEMBER it is safe for me because I drilled and measured the trail across lake and NO where else.

The trails are in need of some clean up, there is some large dead fall on the trails that I normally groom , and if
you could get a group of healthy guys with chain saws and go for a quad or snowmobile ride you will clean up the trees and I will not have to go around them, please and thank you
There is probably a few dozen Dead Falls that need to be cleared .
I packed to the main Oil field road, down to the
south grazing reserve and a few other trails that I normally look after
So now we need snow, so get on the snow dancing shoes and get at it

See you on the trails

There's probably 8" to 12" of snow in the area.

Pick your sleds up and test them yet? Not using mine till 19, 20 when we go to McBride. Went for a quick burn 2 weeks ago but snow was really low so did not go to far yet.
Just used the 600 and the phazer. Selling Polaris if you know anyone who needs a mint 550 Supersport fan cooled. I just don't have a need for 6 sleds.

Brought them home in early November but haven't put any miles on them yet.

Hay folks
well if want to ride this weekend bring your Woolies its -34 here right now.
Well had my first wreck grooming last week, I was out on the edge of the Grazing reserve turning around and hit a big rock
with the left front track, I looked it over at the time and didn't notice any damage, ops, must have hit it hard enough to break the hub bearing, was doing a walk around a couple of
nights ago and noticed the track assembly laying over on it's side. Oh well nothing 400.00 won't take care of, got to be more careful!!

Got the Rhino repaired and packed all day, JUST A LITTLE COOL OUT TODAY!! We received about 4 inches of snow during the week and the trails are starting to look
like it might be ok to sled at Christmas after all. Made it down to Walton's mountain today, that's a nice ride back into the valley, lots of big spruce and twisty trails.
The trail along the road from blk 15 to blk 1 and then to the fire break cut line is coming along, should be nice this year to ride on it.

########NOW REMEMBER ######## the new road at blk 11 is open BUT the hill going up is loaded with land mines, the contractor put 2x2 stakes in the ground to hold the grass matting and erosion control, will take out your track if you drive over it.

I will get all the trails packed by the end of the day tomorrow, going to have to giver though.
Now the weather and temp doesn't look too good for the next week, and don't be in a big hurry to get out here to ride, still not much for a base and with the snow we have all the rocks are now covered.
Sooooo get out those snow dancing shoes and lets get some more snow!

See you on the trails grooming

Groomed to the pipeline today, there is about a foot of snow on the pipeline but no base, the rocks are now covered
people be careful I hit a couple just turning around when I came out of the bush.
Figure Lake has about 8 inches of ice where I tested, I could see a lot of dark patches so I would stay close to shore if out there
I'm having my share of Op's this season, a stick got picked up in my front track and smashed my new windshield, lots of luck, just seems to be bad, oh well long way from the heart.
I have tried to post some pics but not having any luck.
I'll be out there next weekend with the groomer, if you're out wave when you go by
See you on the trail
Don

Glen try and post a pic on this thread
