What is the Fastest Stock 4 x 4 ATV?

My answer is of coarse the 800 Renegade, Ive went up against the Outlander 800 and was pulling away right from the start, and we tried several times as well. I know they have the same engines but heard the gearing is different.:bike:

The Can-Am's for sure. All reports and shoot-outs have confirmed this.

As the Renegade is more "sport" designed than the Outlander...it would make sense that it would take top spot with the 800 Outlander coming in 2nd.

the grizz has 27"mudlites on it so it might be a little faster w/stock tires..but why?..whats the fastest you had yours up to?:wetpants:

The only thing that has ever beat me is a renegade but last week my engine started knocking and I'm burning oil so I get beat now from another outlander 800 but still beat the 700 grizz with a half blown engine  No worry's though my Outty will have a bigger piston very soon, then I'll try ya Ron :D

Ok 1st I don't understand the fastest 4x4.....how often do you guys get to top it out?....I hate road ridin on a good day so in the last 5 years I think my machine was topped out once and that 800 pound pig flyin down the road with the tires howlin bouncing down the road was no thrill, It would be like taking grandpappies old farm truck to the drag strip.....well I guess if you never taken a real car down the drag strip it may be fun
If you wanna go fast down a back road buy something built for it a sport quad or hybrid aka Renegade....or wait till winter a sled it :D

I have a 700 king quad at my place and granted the guy who was riding it weighed about 300+ the renegade never really blew his doors off. Put someone a little lighter on there and it would have been a real race

I agree with you Murminator but it boils down to a testosterone thing. My lawn mower isn't built for racing either but it didn't stop me from racing my nieghbour down the road with his one day after a few beers  :D ....its all good clean fun once and a while. For the guy's that can't make it through the big mud holes, they need some sort of bragging rights. :twocents:

The Thudercat is electronically governed at 80 mph. It is deffinately the fastest hands down. Of course I have not ridden one but have talked to an owner of one, and he said it is not at all for a novice rider and it is crazy powerful. Any article I have read on the T-Cat says the power is above any other offering on the market. My neighbour has an Outty 800 and it is by far the most powerful quad I have ridden so far, I loved it.

The T-Cat has a spike load dampener in the drive line (a clutch pack saorta thing?) to eliminate twisting things apart like axles and diffs. Must have some power  950 V-Twin efi, 188 lbs tourque... should be fun.

12 Post above this one.... and ALL are wrong... not even close in fact.

I'll post the answer in a few days, but in the mean time I am sure someone will answer it correctly.

Hint: Banshee is not the correct answer either.

Agreed, Quadzilla fastest ATV period. You would have to ride one to truely understand the power they had stock. Slightly modded (80-100hp at 350 pounds) they were just plain scary, even in sand dunes.

I believe (but could be wrong) the Renagade has better acceleration than a stock 400l Scrambler. Renegade has higher top speed than a 400 or 500 Scrambler. With the right tight technical course and equal riders the Scambler might have an advantage. A modded 400 would kill a modded Renegade assuming same $$ spent on mods.

Na- Look at how heavy it is compared to the 800's Outty and Gade, you need the big cc's with the weight.
Im agreeing with Ron I disagree on a scambler beating up on a renegade. Plus its not about racing down a road its about riding in the west counrty in all terrain and not getting stuck and coming home safe at the end of the day. P.S I will race any polaris scrambler/sportsman any time any place.
