bigger tires... and intake snorkel?

I want to put bigger tires on my brute not sure what kind i want agressive one for sure though and im going towards 28s now since 30s would rub and u can rip a bit more with 28s what clutch SPRIngs would i need for like silverbacks mudzillas etc or what about if i went to 28" zillas the clutching is set for 27" mudlites and turns them like nothing even in muskeg keep same clutching?
i also have a belt snorkel right now but i would defnitly want to put a intake would it effect the performance with out doing other stuff to fix it? is it hard to do the intake?

Depends on how you route your intake snorkel will determine if you need to re-jet. I used a 3" rubber 90" boot and cut off the ends, this keeps the intake inlet the same size as stock, then use 2" hard PVC to route it to the rack. My intake snorkel is on the left most riser when sitting on the quad, thats becasue I routed it left around the steering post and then right up. The CVT exhaust is in the middle, then the CVT in on the right riser.

For clutching my buddy has 28's and he's using a maroon and red springs. I'll be doing the same when I get tires.

Jetting might be tough if its your first time, especially on a dual carb. It's not fun, and I've spent enough time with carburetors to know when I got a Brute, it was going to be EFI. Not that jetting is a PITA, as much as its just time consuming and there could be better things to do with your time.

Hope this helps. If you got any more questions, just let me know. Also, while clutching, it never hurts to switch to the TERYX belt, but make sure its OEM. The Teryx belt is much stronger than the Brute belt. Making it ideal for bigger tires.

I did not have to re-map for my snorkels as the inlet is still the same size as stock.

was the for like heavy 28s or the zillas? and yea that did help thanks and yea the guy a i bought it off just put a new belt on and from my brute before i havea stronger belt a heavy duty one thats brand new

ok i would go to the 28 zillas...... u won't need to jet with a intake snorkle depending on the jeting u have... i never had too with my 06 ...
3 inch to the air box then 2 inch all the way up... works awsome....

i went with 30 xxl mud lights cause i got them cheap used and like them alot [ the float awsome ] ... just put in springs with no weights...
i would have went with 28 zillas if i didn't get the cheap mud lights...
oh and i had 27 xtrs on before and with the 30 xxls they rub less [ xtr's were radials and sat flat and the xxl's are more balooned so where they rubed was on the inside foot well and the bigger tires now rub less...

I've tried zillas. The 28's tend to ball up in the mud and don't clean well compared to the Mudzilla, but Rey do ride smoother.

I'm probably going to an outlaw or a silverback on my brute as I ride lots of mud. Also, if you don't already, get a rad relocate kit!! That's my next mod.

if i was you, i would go with Zilla's.. they are the lightest mud tire around and still do ok in the handling department..

yes for a real light -good all around tire u can't beat them....they work good and don't break as much chit...

How are those mudlites compared to other tires? They seem to be priced well.

dont miss the brute one bit glad the headache is gone haha possably have a new headache only time will tell only 50km it and 4 yr warrenty sure does turn 29.5s alot better with 0 clutch work

Thats how I felt when I got rid of my Polaris. Right now my '09 Brute is a godsend haha!

i hope your brute works out for you all machines are hit or miss i should of become a certified kawi machanic after mine and i treated it very good

will the 05 brute fit 29.5s with minamal rubbing? no lift i heard it rubsand full turn a bit but thats about it and i have aftermarket rims also

Aftermarket rims means squat unless they are offset rims and you know how much they are offset by.
