Ive been hearing that you must have insurance on your atv even when your transporting it on a trailer. Also you must have a drivers license and 16+ is these correct?

In Alberta you have to have Insurance and Registration, I heard that BC does not. Transporting an item just requires the trailer to be registered. The the towing vehicles insurance then applies unless it is not attached then you need insurance on it. As for the drivers license don't think so. Atvs do not require a license.

Negatory rubber duck!

However if you are caught riding on a FSR without the proper insurance there are fines to be had.

Not sure on the insurance to transport, but I would think your trailer policy would cover it. To legally ride on crown land you need liability insurance only, and be over the age of 16 unless supervised by an adult. To ride on a forest service road you need liability insurance and a valid drivers licence. Regestratoin for atv/dirtbikes has not been finalized as of yet, but snowmobiles need to be registered.
