An inch or two each morning for the past 5 days and snowing off and on each day. Taylor, Clint and a good buddy went into a zone yesterday that we have avoided this year so far and found great untouched powder. Storm track looks like it will settle on us for the next few days... Hopefully a good blanket of snow before it exits. Boys are out today, so should have some pics from yesterday and today.

Recent reports from Lionshead were good for guys willing to search it out. Just be careful, we just had a guy staying in one of our condos get buried on Airplane hill with only a small portion of his helmet showing. It still took their crew over 30 minutes to fully extract him and luckily no injuries.

However, Not much for new snow around West for a few days, so blue skies gave us a chance to seek out some different zones. A journey outside the usual was in order. Here's a few pics from Taylor and the Prieb "Crazy Canadians" Crew.

The base in ost of the I.P./West area is good, its the fresh snow that we are missing. Everything is tracked up pretty good due to no significant snow in the past 2 weeks. They are calling for 2-3 inches today and a decent chance for more this week. Keep your fingers crossed.

At first I thought it was so cloudy outside this morning due to a hangover, but really ITS SNOWING!!! Lets hope it continues for the next few days.....feet not inches! OK, so the forecast doesn't look promising, but I haven't seen a flake in almost three weeks, so I had to share my stiffy with all the snow whores out there. Thanks for the snow dances cdummer43!

Great ride today with the Ryden Crew in the usual spots, found good snow in the trees mainly due to weather. Will try to post pics in AM.

Here is a few pics from the rides from the past few days. Definatly spring conditions. Golfing in the valleys, sledding in the mountains! Can still find good pockets on the shaded North Slopes with hero snow everywhere else.

You know that when your riding in a t-shirt, shell, sunglasses, thin gloves and your still sweating when your pulling out a stuck buddy....ITS Spring!!!
The conditions in the lower elevation are quickly dwindling, but the riding in the upper elevations has held out fairly well. With the little blast of snow we received this past Saturday (some areas more than others) the riding has been quite enjoyable. I still think a Mesquite Golf trip sounds good!

P.S. Until the end of March, anyone groups with four or more rentals from us has the option of reaping the rewards of a backcountry guides knowledge for some good spring riding at no extra cost. Summit 600 and 800's available.

Here's a couple of shots from the weekend rides. Enjoy!

Before most of the Ace Powder Guides/Hi Country crew took off on vacations, we decided to get in one last buggy ride together. Not that the season is completely over for riding, just going to have to see what this spring brings for moisture! Have a great summer sled nation!

I am thinking of a trip to West Yellowstone next winter, what is the best time of year to be there? We were thinking February. Looking for a local opinion as to when we should book our trip for.

February is always a good time of year to ride. As anyone that has been out West knows it only takes one storm while your here or just before you get here to turn good riding into epic riding.
