Do Albertans really hate BC because of our government's stupidity?

Absolutely LOVE BC mountains, lakes, and people with laid back Kootenay vibe! Although I've spent over 30 years in Oil and Gas which has allowed us to buy our dream forever home in the West Kootenays I don't let idiot politicians spoil where I choose to spend vacation time or live. If that was the case I wouldn't even be living in Canada! The more time I do spend in the Kootenays I start to think those living the laid back vibe perhaps have it right living in the moment enjoying the beautiful mountains... they certainly don't have an inbox over 3000 emails and 6:00 am conference calls!

NWT and Yukon are AWESOME. Why people don't head north amazes me. BC is not the only place to vacation people!!!! Show some love to the territories. Who knows they might just show some back!!!:specool:

I spent 20 years up there. If you like bugs and really big bugs hop right to it! Don't hop too high as one of those big mother phucking mosquitoes may carry you away. Bulldogs (horseflies), black flies, no-seeums, and mosquitoes during their seasons make a lot of outdoor activities a chore.

I love it up there. Worked in Norman Wells for a bit. And vacationed in the Southern parts of the Yukon.
Love going and seeing carcross and Takini Hot Springs.
We lucked out wasnt much for bugs.
Second trip only made it as far as Watson Lake. As we were camping at Liard. Wanted my folks to see the sign post forest.

I just wish it didnt take 3 days to drive up there.

I totally understand why some Alberta residents are boycotting BC. Hell...I've lived here all my life and do the same thing. Most of my major purchases have been coming from Alberta for years. But if you really want to "get" the people that caused the current BC political opposition to TMX, all you need to do is stop the flow of refined product down the present line. Just keep shipping bitumen for export so you don't damage your own economy. You'd bring those leaf lickers in the lower mainland to their knees pretty quickly. The rest of us get our fuel by truck from Alberta, so we'll be good. I'll laugh my azz off listening to them whine actually!
