I just found out tonight that 1 died in a avalanche in the first bowl today. A PG resident. I won't mention a name until it's been confirmed. This really sucks.
Play safe everyone.
I put on 800 miles so far this year. I only have the hestiation when hitting the rev limiter (about 8200 +). I added more pin weight right after break in and it helped to keep the revs down. I never had the reflash done because I've never had any issues. I just installed a DJ kit about a month...
Mine did it on my 08' and now its even worse the ultra tippy 11'. I've got a half moon carved right through. Gaurd or no gaurd, they all do it (at least for they guys that can carve).
They're supposed to have lifetime warranty aren't they? My buddy just replaced his for being "slightly tweaked". I bought his old ramp off the dealer a week later for $300 cash. Not sure where it's tweaked... :)
Make sure you you apply the tape in the proper direction. Hold the bolt in your left hand and wrap the threads turning the tape away from you. If you wrap in the wrong direction it will just unravel and water will seep past. I usually use about 4 to 5 wraps. It works every time. I actually just...
I have one of the new MBRP cans... put on about 150 miles with it so far. No codes at all. Sounds great and seems a bit more snappier. You can definately feel the weight loss. On the early test models, they had issues with the probe being too close to the can they started throwing codes. They...
My 154 came with 19/45 gears. No real heat problems. The machine runs great, seems to get better as I get closer to full break in. I'm going to throw a bit more weight to it this wknd to keep the revs dwn a bit.
I got my 24' (inc. rear door) done for $800 cash. It's between 1/8 to 3/16 thick, rough textured. Works well. It is a little slick on the rear door. I'll probably throw down a set of Superglides for a bit of traction.
Rode Yanks yesterday... great ride! More snow than we were expecting. There was about 10 to 12 inches of fresh on a good base. Get into the trees and there was a good 2 to 3 feet of fresh pow. Awsome boondocking! We're thinking if heading back that way tomorrow. We still need more snow...
I just had my etec out in Barkerville with the new MBRP can. Sounds great! Waaay better than the "TDI Jetta" it used to sound like. It feels a little more snappy too. For a stock sled, this thing rips. I sold my modded 08 XP (which is a very strong runner) to a buddy and this Etec, hands down...
