Sorry for slow reply doorfx. Thanks for your answer. I tested it as per instructions in manual and had it confirmed at Arctic Cat shop. I've ordered a new sensor so will find out for sure then. I was just curious if the was something I could look forward to happening often.

My speed sensor has crapped out and a new one is 260.00. Is this a common issue with this atv?

I'm looking to install a tethered shut off on my 2002 SX Viper 700. I'm told to just wire it into the same wires as the shut off on the handle bars but I don't think that would shut the key off (if that makes sense) so, should i splice into ignition wires? if so, does anyone know which wire?

Hi all. I'm in Central Alberta and newly retired. Last time on a snowmobile was around '67 or '68. Looking to ride snow trails and get the feel for it again. I have a 2002 SX Viper 700 that I bought from a guy that kept it like brand new. Any guidance would be appreciated.
