I have searched around to try and find out if the cylinders on a 1999 700 RMK are plated with anything or are they cast iron. I want to rebuild the top end on a budget and don't want to have to re-plate them. Can I just get them honed and good to go,there is a bit of scaring on the cylinder...

Sounds good just puting my engine back together this weekend. The cylinders are nickicil plated so I had to take them to yamaha to hone them picking them up tomorrow. The machinest down the road from you could not do it. I have to get the jetting figured out for the altitude I picked up some...
