    Baofeng Dual Channel Info

The tones/codes are a "standard" list. The order they are listed in by different radio manufactures is where the problem comes in when telling a friend to use tone #25 for instance. Baofeng/BCA/ Chatterbox/Motorola/Kenwood/Midland etc--all use a different number/letter to identify a particular...

    Baofeng Dual Channel Info

Manually programming a frequency into a channel on a Baofeng is simple and takes only a few seconds. Adding a code can be done at the same time and all cts codes are the same through the industry. DCS codes too. My new Quansheng and my new Baofeng UV5RH will pick up those unique frequencies...

    Some new models of radios

I bought one of the Quansheng UV-K5 radios on a black Friday deal===$24. and free shipping. After "unlocking" the radio it programmed up real easy, Looked at the firmware flash but not smart enough to figure it out. Gave it to a friend to listen to airplanes but have not got it back yet. Looks...

    GPS

Garmin GPS 78s--hand held--its the marine version so it is waterproof and floats (on snow too). Works for all my hunting and ATV needs. Will work for your snowmobile needs too. Works in my basement just like it does outdoors. Lots of better options out there that have satellite (in reach)...

    A better VHF radio

I would be a bit careful purchasing the HONGXUN--Look at their trader ratings---not very good in all respects--Aliexpress---But the money back guarantee works well.

    A better VHF radio

Baofeng has owned Nagoya for a couple years now--wonder if that makes a difference in antennas.

    Ham Radio Course

Congratulations on passing the test---saying it again on this forum too. Meant to tell you on the other forum that a lot of "snowmobile" people use BCA radios in our area and other areas so I program them into the Baofengs as well. Helmet kits are available for Baofengs too ($25) in case you...

WHERE TO CAMP? KOOTENAY LAKE TRIP 2023

Three valley Gap southbound to Mable. Good idea to have a programed radio for this part of your trip. RR frequencies change 3 times along this road. Nice drive going this way. Cottonwood campground is a good camping spot--my info is about 5 years old now.

    I need a mountain bike....

I also have a Yukon 750 Volt bike.. I added a bigger sprocket to the front, Makes a big difference riding hills. Never use the smaller sprocket any more. Have a hunting friend that had 10,000km on his Yukon a year and a half ago so that was a big reason for me getting the Yukon. In the fall...

    Cross bows

I have had a Raven for just over 3 years now. Every cross bow has ONE similar problem---reloading/loading time!!!. Compounds are way faster to reload/load but lack the shooting distance. Good point---Ravin 1 1/2" groups at 100yds -- 420 fps. crank to load and double safety---crank to let...
