    Golden and Area Conditions 2023-2024

Anybody know if the gate up Quartz is closed yet? Might do a light ripper on Sunday before the rain hits but don't wanna drive there to find out she's locked.......

    BRP cutting production on sleds.

BRP invested hundreds of millions in electric, and already has their own Grand Touring and Expedition sleds that are electric, they don't need Taiga, they are miles ahead of them. BRP is trying to release electric versions of all their vehicles by 2026. I'm sure they've seen the future while...

    BRP cutting production on sleds.

sure, and I'll introduce you to Ron Giles, Owen Hunka, and bunch of old guys from the BCSF who were hand building mod sleds long before the early 2000's......Point being that these same guys still only hand built a limited amount of sleds, even out of the Baker style "production" shops, they...

    BRP cutting production on sleds.

This thread is a great piece of "BRP propaganda" for some people but only the sheep are believing that it has anything to do with snow conditions. BRP priced themselves out of the market....plain and simple. They got greedy and raised the prices to the point where the majority of people stopped...

    BRP cutting production on sleds.

Huh? That was few and far between, very few people built $25K mods back in the day. The 1994 T-Cat made 172 HP out of the factory and cost like $10 grand. Everything was custom because they didn't stamp them out from a factory in China. A comparable "Custom one off" sled worth 2.5 times the...

    Who's snowchecking 2025

Honestly I'm tired of dealing with Av gas. Harder to get, and so problematic with o2 sensors. I have to carry 2 spare sensors with me all the time (one for the gauge and one for the turbo controller). at $100 each I have to wonder how much I'm truly saving each season by using using Av gas...

    Who's snowchecking 2025

They would if you could get them side by side on a straight up pull with no RPM drops. Like all twins, they take some torque away on the bottom and raise peak RPM on a long pull, and work better when hot, so need to be held WFO. The new sleds compensate too much with exhaust temps and / or air...

    Princess auto sled lift

Put a 2x4 through the track like Sledn said, and also I put one on the front cross piece that goes under the bulkhead. This should keep the screw jack from hitting (I don;t know how high you need to go but hopefully it will help).

    Who's snowchecking 2025

I think an even bigger question you should be asking yourself besides "should I buy extended warranty" is........................................"For $25Gs, why can't they just build a motor that lasts more than 5,000 kms?"

Like all content creators, he's probably struggling to make content......cuz watching guys ride through the same trees at 5 mph is boring as fawk.

    2023/2024 Fernie area

Assuming we don't get any more big snow events, by my reckoning there is about 2-3 weeks left in Fernie if you want to push it. Snow was sticky and wet in the afternoon, and the accesses are all starting to push down, melting off but then snow in the shady spots thats going to prevent driving...

How will EV change back-country snowmobiling?

overly dramatic for what it is. Its a dry year, this happens. Not saying overall climate isn't shifting, but saying "kids today will never see a real winter" just seems like a crusty old man statement. Commifornia would disagree with that statement, they just got 10 ft in the Sierra Nevada's...

    Golden and Area Conditions 2023-2024

That's the money shot right there. Every little convex ridge and feature still holding but all the wind loaded troughs and zones have collapsed and slid. Play safe folks.

He was joking, don't ever put anything in the crank threads or on the bolt. Just use a lock washer under the head of the bolt.

    Muskoka Freerider

Sorry, typing in a rush... I thought that's what they were discussing if the taper is not correct, the clutch would be off centered on the stub? Was thinking "laterally" (across the engine) stress if the bolt was tightening and being stretched away from the engine, but actually that should have...
