Getting your hands on strong pain killers is a great idea if you have connections. I have left over t3 and percocets from a surgury. Was able to give a guy a perc to reduce pain and then set his dislocated shoulder up salmon lake.

All usefully items for sure. I'm thinking of adding a linq tunnel bag for a few key items. The rest is in my pack. A 30 lb pack gets heavy all day. Rather have that weight on the sled.

Sad. Condolences. It's almost one of those things that a bunch of guys kind of knew where to look and SAR wouldn't allow anyone in. Kind of a catch 22. Still sad news and now the family can have closure at least. The unknown is always one of the worst things.

Great info to have. 911 obviously. Maybe a few guides numbers. Guys who know the mountain well without having to get rcmp or SAR in case of not an emergency but help needed in other aspects.

Yes. It also really sucks they are limited to daytime searching. Having to shut it down due to low light must make all parties feel gut wrenched

I bought 3 in kelowna for 160 each. 2 for buddies and they said they have already paid for themselves.

If i were riding alone which I won't I would be staying in high traffic areas like sugar bowl. Wouldn't be venturing off any beaten path or playing in shade or whatnot. Has there been any reported slides?
