This was in another thread, but I'll answer it the same way. I'm pretty sure that you have some bent pins in the big main plug that goes into your guages. Sled will run fine, but you won't get any readings (speed, Alt etc.). Happened to my 08. Pull the guages out of the dash. No need to take...

Had this problem with my 08. Had some corrosion in some of the plugs under the bars. That fixed it for a while, but then it came back. I looked further and found that when I plugged in my main plug to the back of the cluster, I had bent some of the pins over. So not every pin was doing what...

My guess is that the fuel is running out of the Overflows for the Carbs. If the back of the sled is up that high, that would likely be the problem. As for replacing other parts, just do a really good inspection of everything while you can see it all really easily. BRP reed should be fine...

FYI, The high idle is likely due to some other cause and should probably looked at. I know that with old 800 XP, I had a clogged pilot jet in one of the carbs one time that caused that.

The recall is the piston in the rave coming loose. What they are going to is pull the rave covers off, pull the rave pistons, put some 243 on it and re-install. You could probably do it yourself in the time it takes to put the sled on the trailer. However, there is also some ECU stuff that...

While the high idle is an issue, your biggest issue is going to come when you open up the throttle a bit. You need to add weight to you primary clutch for down here. You can try putting you clickers on 1 and seeing if it works. But if it's clutched for riding in Fernie, you are looking at 6...

Just bought my first Etec. a 12 SP. Was reading the manual, and BRP recommends EITHER Full Syn OR Semi Syn. Is this correct? I have about 4 jugs of Semi from my 08, so if I can run it, I will. But if not, I'll suck up the few bucks and by the Full Syn.
