I simply set my goggles on my XM clutch cover(where the goggle bag is meant to go) and close the side panel ... my goggles dry out in 5 minutes and all is good. I just have to open the panel slowly to catch the goggles before they fall into the snow. I have been doing this for the past 3 years...
My 09 did the same thing and it turned out to be a wire that had shorted out on the frame underneath the engine......... I think many of the 08 xp's had the same issue

We were there last weekend and the Cardinal River road is still washed out ..... you can get around it fairly easily with quads though but there is no chance of any trucks making it through
