So I was out this weekend and checked out Lumberton, it was a great place but definetly short on snow. Sled is now in need of repairs but that’s ok I knew the risks of cutting banks and riding tight trees. Definitely an area to test skill levels, I guess mine weren’t up to snuff lol.
Ya we staged at Dutch Camp ground and rode stuff on Atlas between Race Horse Pass and Dutch road. Went up in all the bowls between Dutch road and the bowl west of Shelter. Noticed snow getting better as we worked south. Thought we would go out on the connector by the flare stack heading east...
Conditions not ideal to sled in Atlas, checked out the whole area, found more snow on west facing slopes in trees where wind has deposited. Not enough snow in bowls and most trails thin. Looked to be more snow east of trunk road on way back to Coleman. Road plowed due to logging activity.

Was wanting to go this Friday. Stage on Dutch Road hopefully go up to Atlas. Anyone been in there recent. Was wanting to go between north fork turn off and shelter and check it out. Are the rocks barried good enough on trails yet?
