Changed out the secondary spring to another stock one (maybe it was getting weak maybe it was fine), they didn't have a stiffer one at the dealer. There was some black scuffing down low on the secondary sheaves so cleaned that off as well, could have cause the belt to stick down there perhaps...
Thanks duck,
Still stock gearing. I know from the other thread you mentioned take it down two on the top gear haven't got that done yet. Ya was out in the warm weather today trying out the powder pros. Skis are definately day and night, sled performs much better handling wise. So long stock...
Forgot to mention, both clutches and belt very hot. Not sure which is hotter primary or secondary can't hold hand on them. Also just put on new belt, no better.
Hey guys, my wifes Renegade is acting up. Sled works great on the hard pack snow, no issues. Get in the deep stuff and it is acting up. Seems like it isn't back shifting properly. Takes quite a while to get up to speed sometimes. Then once speed is up all is good. Let off the gas and let her...
Thanks guys will look into this track and gearing. Tried it just yesterday without sway bar and much better. Still likes to dig in, almost like your catching and edge when counter steering in a carve, really have to fight it and steering in the powder is pretty heavy. Friend of mine has some...
Hey guys, have the sled mentioned in the title for my wife. Was wanting to make it a bit better in the powder and less of a trail sled without spending too much on it. Just wanting some opinions. Was thinking of putting a bigger lugged track, possibly 1.75" or can I go bigger? Think it should be...
Was out with a friend the other day and he stabbed his track on 13 turbo hcr. Man not fun getting that heavy b$%Ch out, luckily we were in the flat lands down a cut line so it wasn't all that bad. Warranty covered it, so you should be getting yours covered. Updated rail end caps are backordered...
My 155 did this only once last time out. I have close to 400 miles on it now. Laid it over on the left side little too far in a donut. While lifting up and giving some throttle to get going again made some clicking/clunking noise. Though I finally pushed my luck too far and my drifeshaft let go...
How does one get to be cool enough to join the doo circle jerk club? Hey lets all go inundate the pro forums and do nothing but fan flames and brand bash, then pat each others back. Oh I wish I could be so cool.
I got the 20,000 from Snowest and the user later edited it out so perhaps it is high not sure. At any rate I think the important thing to recognize is that they have acknowledged the problem we will hear more when they know more. Man I can't believe how many glass half empty guys there are on...
Yes that's a lot. Assuming half have been on the snow that's less than a percent failure rate. Unless the failure rate increases quite a bit we wont ever see the mass recall, just shaft replacements on the ones that do break.
Here it is guys. No mass recall. Only fixing broken ones so far. 70 failed out of 20,000.

Not trying to be rude here but hopefully Skidoo gets there S$%t together and gets these sleds out soon! Then maybe you can dyno it and see. If I had snowchecked a new xm I'd be Pi$$%d that I was still waiting on it. Sure there isn't much snow in some areas, but we've been able to ride here for...
