Haven't driven one myself but had a pretty close look the other day when I was at the dealer to pick up some parts, that truly is my dream machine, has everything I want in a new quad including independent suspension, good ground clearance, super nice comfortable seat, real transmission, locking...

The big thing is that lots of things can happen to a quad that are not covered by insurance, what if it comes back with a flat tire, blown motor, blown diff, broken tie rod, blown bearing, broken axle, burnt belt, won't start anymore or any of a million things that can go wrong that insurance...

I would not rent out a quad even to someone I know, just way too much could go wrong.

+1 for Wikiloc on your phone, also links to Google Earth with tons of trails all over the world.

In this day and age I would not go anywhere near a river or river banks, you never know who is watching and video cameras are in everyones pockets these days.
