Yes thanks to Richard at Precision Powersports in Lethbridge To answer your question yes he was going to repair the sled at no cost to me. Or give me full value for what I paid on the m1000 ($5, 900) I took that option and love the new chassis so far and the 800 has pretty much just as much jam...
ye that's exactly how it played out..... anyways, the dealer offered to repair the sled for me or trade it in on a different machine so this is the new ride! pretty happy with the way everything worked out.
thanks to everyone who replied. so i didnt blow up on the guy who sold it to me today, i simply asked for the inspection checklist (below) so does anyone think i have a case here??? i haven't even told the dealer what happened yet as i wanted to get my ducks in a row before a try getting...
no i didnt notice the gouge in the secondary..... thats sucks haha. but yea when the machine got stuck in reverse and i talked to the guy who sold it to me, his response was "thats too bad the sled was in good condition when it left here" so im thinking hes not gonna say much about this, i mean...
ok so i just bought an 08 m1000 from a dealer, the first time i took it out the machine got stuck in reverse (i posted about this earlier) i put in a new ccu and cleaned out the servo motor, and everything ran well. second time taking it out this past weekend, i got aabout 2 kms down the trail...
Turns out it was the ccu. Found a guy locally that had one for sale. $80. And everything worked great. Lights on, reverse working properly. I also cleaned out the servo motor.
k so just bought an 08 m1000 1400 miles, completely stock. went out this weekend to test, it was having trouble going into reverse, started riding then the headlights started flickering and the gauge was flascing ccu, low oil, low fuel... from what ive been reading i should change the ecu?? but...
Rode the renshaw on Saturday, trail was fairly brutal but once you get up top.... unreal. blue sky day w/ 4-6 inches of fresh, couldnt have asked for a better day!! was just like the pictures above.
worth the 28 k trip in for sure!! too bad season is over:(
