On my 13 Pro I ran a SLP stage 4 kit from Carls cycle. It definitely worked but for only a little more you could get a BD sidekick turbo. Something to think about.
I was thinking the same thing. Ive never had a issue with over heating except on the trails. I did put a SLP airbox vent kit on but that's only cause of the turbo.
I think there is a good reason that BD has the patent on the tunnel dump, cause it works. It does suck cutting a hole in the side of the tunnel, but once your riding you forget all about it. lol
With the sidekick turbo, there is a bracket that goes over the tunnel dump hole. If anything, its stronger then stock. I like the tunnel dump, the exhaust never gets plugged with snow. Just my 2 cents.
I think a lot of turbo manufactures are figuring things out. Its a great time to buy a turbo. So much fun. Love my BD. 600 miles and still haven't touched a thing.
I love my BD turbo, 500 miles on it. Not one issue. Its like a stock sled with 200 HP. $3995 us. They are not that hard to install, If you are mechanical at all. It took me 6.5hrs my first time and I was taking my time.
I ran my side kick all last winter, very happy with it. It took about 6 1/2hrs to install( very easy kit to install, the tunnel dump was the most time consuming). Zero issues with it, a total pull and go kit, 91 pump gas. If you have any question feel free to ask.
