Usually camp in Christina Lake but cancelled this year. Not sledding in Fernie Corbin or Valemount either since our snow is so good too. Sorry but Bring Cash (bc) is not happening anytime soon. Lol

How many miles did you have on the engine?

We rode the Atlas this past weekend and the snow was poor for a few km from the stage area then improved. There was rain earlier last week and the forecast looks warm this week so have scratchers or you will have problems.

Lol, yeah a lot of references of the Fording trail similar to the moon. The Sheep area won't be open unfortunately either. Unless things have changed, trails at Maclean are snowmobile only after Jan 1, but I think that is often not the case. Cataract or Crowsnest are the closest options for...

I haven't ridden Maclean in the winter, but the Calgary Snowmobile club has started a grooming program at Cataract Creek, about an hour South of Maclean.

We found the sled shows the best deals, Edmonton or the snow show in Calgary at Spruce Meadows.

Fernie has trails, I drag the kids around in a snow coach and my wife is a newbie and has no trouble keeping up. We do Corbin, Atlas in the Crowsnest, and Cataract Creek as day trips from Calgary.

I ended up buying a new one in 2011, I have more than one person that can use it so it will not be that expensive over the years I own it. There simply weren't any used ones for sale back then either. It is nice having a new engine that starts the first pull!
