There is a major fire burning near Lodgepole, which has been evacuated, and there are road blocks set up along highway 620, the residents along that highway are on a 2 hour evacuation notice. It is not recommended you travel there for the long weekend.

There is a fire ban on for that whole area so no fires at all.

You are probably best to avoid the area. It makes things rather difficult for fire fighters to ensure everyone is out when people keep pouring in. I also recommend not visiting the Brazeau area as we have a very large fire burning near Lodgepole and the highway to the trails is blocked.

The ride is about 3-4 hours. Some only take two, but I'm not sure they see much. You should be back by about 3, we are wanting all hands back by four so we can start doling out the prizes.

We have closed down some of the trail because of the fact that they border private property and some riders are not respecting that. We have tried to get further away from farmers. The camping is very close to the rally. You can camp in the open area on the north end of the staging area...
