    What Summit to buy??

Electric start is sweet. Install a recoil behind the side panel incase the battery ever dies. You're going to want both and will use electric start 99% of the time.

'13 XM, dealer says new ECM needed. Input please

Just talked to the owner of the skidoo dealership, he thought that the crank bearings could be toast and causing this so that was the first thing they checked once they found the problem. The actual magnets from inside the flywheel dislodged and backed themselves out and because it is a...

UPDATE: '13 XM, dealer says new ECM needed. Input please Update: The issue has been solved and I have my sled back. I figure posting this story may help other XM owners in the future. I did read that 13's had bad stators, but this problem wasn't necessarily with the actual stator, but with the...

'13 XM, dealer says new ECM needed. Input please

Wasn't the ECM. Changed an injector. Wasn't that. Tried the capacitor, wasn't that. Magnets on Flywheel were rubbing crankcase. Changed the flywheel. Didn't fix it. Dealer is going to change the stator now.

How to sell a sled when theres a ton of the sames ones on the market?

Yes, Price matters. But Price isn't everything. Good quality, well lit photo's from multiple angles showing the true condition will be more beneficial than just lowering your price. Lowering your price brings the tire kickers that are going to waste even more time and probably not buy. Packaging...

Who else rides a 146 in the mountains?

I bought a '13 XM 146 brand new and have been to the mountains for 5 years with it now, I did stretch it to a 156x3 last season and the difference was incredible. My next one will be a 165 for sure, but I am really impressed with the 156x3 vs 146.

'13 XM, dealer says new ECM needed. Input please

I tried to get the dealer to replace the stator in mine but they said it tested within range and that it's not the stator. He is going to try a new ECM even tho he said programming it is a big job that he doesn't want to do. They tested the coils and it wasn't that. Don't seem willing to try the...

'13 XM, dealer says new ECM needed. Input please

Mine is displaying the warm up message even when it has 5 bars. I think stator might be the next item to troubleshoot.

'13 XM, dealer says new ECM needed. Input please

After researching similar symptoms I am going to ask the dealer to test the stator. Sounds like it could be that, especially on a '13. Sled had 3600 km on it.

'13 XM, dealer says new ECM needed. Input please

I have a 2013 Summit XM SP, end of last season had a check engine light come on, along with warm up message and loss of power, sounded like it was running on one cylinder, shut it down, fired back up was fine until I got into high rpm again, took it to dealer, they said it was a capacitor...

    How do we keep going

I completely agree with this, mountain snowmobiling is an unexplainable experience that blows me away every time I go. My family, and non snowmobiling friends don't get it. They ask me why I do it. What's so cool about it. So many people die, you have a family, why do you still go, etc. I try to...

Video of being Caught in Avalanche - Allen Creek January 23, 2016

Like others have said, thank you for sharing your video, I am really glad you are alive to share and talk about it. No matter what, someone is going to criticize when a video like yours gets posted, but these people should see way more value in the potential lessons that you've hopefully taught...
