  • Clutching 2007 XRS 159. The cluch kit is Dynamo Joe's custom Dalton Helix. There is no part number, you'll have to contact him to order one (same price as Dalton retail price), my pins are also Dalton Ultimate Pro Stainless Steel, however, you can just use crappy skidoo ones and load them to 18 or 19 grams (use a scale though as their stuff varies in weight significantly enough to affect performance and also increases bushing wear in clutches) - file the set screws to match perfectly. The Dalton pins that come with the Dynamo Joe kit is pretty decent (i upgraded to the Ultimate Pro pin set, as I am a perfectionist and the Ultimate Pro set is exactly perfectly matched in weight). I never ever wore out any bushing in my clutch, pretty sure it's because each pin and arm are exactly measured the same weight to the 1/100 of a gram.
Primary spring is 160/350, stock secondary spring. You can't order this type of stuff from skidoo, the skidoo helix's are a joke compared to the Dalton ones. Side by side comparison. Performance increase is a solid 20% over stock (bone stock machines side by side and alternating riders). More if looking at backshifting. That stock Doo clutching sucks real bad especialy in the mtns. Tried three 2009 XP's as well (as dealer said the 2009 clutching was a fix)....not so, works awesome around home, and on trail to mtns and pretty good in 6-12 inches of snow, but as soon as you hit 2-3 feet of snow, 2009's hit a 25 mph wall and won't spin track any faster....what a joke skidoo clutch engineers....too much testing in Quebec on the trails i guess. take care.
