Rode Holmes today. 1st time since 2005. So had to follow the old tracks of others.

Snow was hard packed. We kept overheating. Found s couple of play areas. Seen on slide take place in the distance. Was impressive to watch.

According to my GPS. (The way the bird flies) we were 12km from one of the creeks we play in at Renshaw.

Was a great day up Renshaw. We were first tracks into Spirit. Better snow back there for sure. Didn’t see any other sleds till after 4:30. Pics pretty much tell the tale. Wasn’t expecting such good snow. We poked past Pyramid and beyond. She was black when we left. Big storm rolled through the back be fresh again for sure. Trail is suffering from the heat Going up was good

Thank you for such a detailed post with pics. We were in blue yesterday at coulees. Same conditions as you had at renshaw. It was snowing off and on during the day but had great untouched conditions.

Spent Saturday making loop from cabin around back way to anthills. Most areas have 8 ish inches but tracks everywhere. Would be nice to get one last dump before the end. Most of the day was relatively clear.

Headed out to Spirit today.
Snow at about 12" and typical spring moisture.
No tracks past Spirit so we hit two hidden jems about 5 and 7km past.
We're the only ones in either spot, snow dryer as both sheltered by big peaks to the south.
Met Rod fueling groomer in morning.

Need to mount more fuel cans...two was not enough!
Got to location about 9:00 AM.
Other sleds started to arrive about 11:00.
Emptied both tunnel cans on sled and out of gas and loaded by 2:30PM.

Anybody that went to Spirit had a hoot.
Easily the best snow at Renshaw.

Met Notsopro and his friend and gave them a quick tour of Spirit area. Good guys. Had a great ride again at Renshaw.

Rode Belle today.
Meadows were untouched. But super hard packed. Couldn't really do much. Hitting the creeks hurt. No soft fluffy landing.
Played in the burn for a bit. Super easy. Got boring.
Up top was windy and like concrete.

Should have brought the short tracks for today. Oh well.

We did jump off the trail into the trees and ended up coming out on the far side of Big Belle. That was pretty cool and challenging.

A few feet of fresh is needed.

One of our group came from Thunder Bay Ontario. To try mountain Riding for his 1st time.

Had a blast with snochuk thanks alot for the tour got to see a lot i havent seen before

It got sunny for a bit so brother and I went back to the ridge we were all on and dropped in.
We had the area to our selves till we ran out of gas. Wound up being a 165km day with going past Spirit twice.
Any time you need another tour just let us know.

My Brother was at the parking lot at Lucille this morning but it was snowing to hard. They didn't end up going up decided to head home. They road Renshaw yesterday and they had piss poor visibility.
Good news when the snow stops should be great.

I'm thinking the McBride report might be a bit exaggerated
