There were avys in pretty much all riding areas on weekend.
The one in Red Sands happened just after we left on Sunday and we saw fresh avy activity in Renshaw Saturday at Sirit Lake and by the saddle and one in Allen was reported.
Only broken bones in Blue from what I here but it was a big slide - two sled wrecked.
Surprisingly none of these guys risking their lives climbing lost their life.

There will always be some............
Need to be smarter when the warning and risk is high after fresh reloads.

I rode Red Sands on Saturday and it was my first time in that area. Can you elaborate what area came down? Just curious as we noticed a couple things on Saturday.

Planning on heading to McBride this weekend. Any updates from those that were on Belle last weekend? Was it pounded out already after the heavy snowfall last week?

Had 2 great days up Renshaw! Snow was good with lots of untouched! Also went to MMM 10 and had a great meal and a couple cocktails, buddy won a gift certificate for Beaver Creek, other buddy got a hat and Tee and I scooped the Defender trailer guards! Thks to Mr. Numbers and Showtime and gang for grabbing the backpack buddy left behind! Also Ron and gang for staging the 10th and final (At least that was announced) MMM.

Hey guys , planning to head up this weekend . I checked avalanche.ca it says moderate avy warning.. I am familiar with renshaw and Lucile. Just wondering if the warm weather the next few days are better or worse for avy's ?
Someone posted early about avys already happening out there , just wondering what everyone thinks .
thanks

I'm heading to McBride tomorrow until Sunday with 3 others, we'll probably hit Belle first as it is directly across the highway from The Scarecrow B&B where we are staying. Word from the trail groomer (Rod) is that the conditions are "average". I was hoping for "mind blowing ridiculous amounts of powder", but I'll take what I can get. :-D

I would recommend you take an Avey Safety training course. If you have already, you should know the answer to your question. Sorry don't mean to sound like an ass but the ratings are high and it's nothing to go into uneducated. There was a recent avey at renshaw in the saddle, and 3 over the weekend in Valemount. 2 in Allan Creek and one in Clemina. This is the Avey in Allan Creek . Snow is tracked out in McBride. We were in renshaw Sunday and really had to search for decent Snow.
