for those that ride this road you MUST have a radio. the channel is posted at the beginning of the road. plowed to 30 or so and not many places to met a truck safely. can't park on the road in most places and by law you are not allowed to ride a sled on a plowed road.

Thanks Barry, Its good to have people like you working hard to keep areas ridable. No need to upset the very people who allow us to ride there roads whether they are in use or not. A radio goes a long way to keeping your truck looking like a truck and not a pop can.

they have changed priority. they are moving all loggers to the morkil as of next week so the road will go back to unplowed after that.

Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong spot. But last few trips to McBride we stayed at NV cabins. That 1st creek you cross heading to town. That's Holmes is it not?
I've seen guys parking down there just off the creek and tracks up from there.
Is it okay to be parking there? I didn't look too closely to see if the tracks where on a ploughed road or not.

My wife and I rode our dirt bike up there from the Holmes river camp ground. I think about 25km up the FSR from the hwy you take a left up a trail, follow the valley all the way into renshaw, check it out on Google, I've never taken it myself in the winter but a local I met up there hunting said that's the way in. My guess is it would be a rough trail. And the willows were brutal so not sure how it would be in the winter

It’s been years since I was in that way as well . I think late 90’s .
The last portion was creek and kind of a water fall mess if I remember right ?
I think this is a rough idea .
Barry ?

I bet the willows are nasty now. A bunch of us spent a day clearing the willows about 10 yrs ago. They were thick back then and we didn't even get 1/2 way down the trail.
