Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
In general, it's better to ride the glaciers when there is more than approximately 8-10ft of snow or from January on. It's all snow dependent as there are crevasses that need to be covered on the top by snow to form snow bridges. If the snow bridges are thin, they can give way and you could fall into a crevasse which can be 0-200ft deep. Mid January till end of May is a good guideline to go by for a riding season.
Brohm Ridge(Black Tusk snowmobile club) in Squamish is a great place to ride(no glaciers) early as they get lots of snow and you might even run into a famous back country expert there. It's a great area.
Not trying to scare anyone and all the clubs welcome all sledders, just be aware of the terrain.
Glacier(Ice cap) riding in the Whistler/Pemberton is the best riding in the world IMO. It's very rewarding and after 25years of riding the area, I still get goosebumps and i cant believe we get to ride this unbelievable area.
I'm rambling. Come on up and enjoy. Careful though, you might want to move to the area.

Nothing but propaganda vidz coming from Browner. Nothing here but rain showers and hippies here in the S2S.
You'll have better luck finding the deep stuff in Revy
