Lake boat. If they shut down the lakes, Ill get something for the ocean.

Before you throw money at that it might harm the whales, disturb the seals or upset a ocean kayaker. The ocean too will be shut down if they have there way :( they would much prefer if you donate money to a cause and protest things rather than enjoy a pastime

Had some time to read that letter again thoroughly and nowhere does Y2Y mention OHV, snowmobile or other recreational activities. Their focus is on "destructive" industrial activity, specifically logging.

Makes me wonder whats really driving the snowmobile and ATV closures, and if there's any science behind it.

Perhaps the snowmobile/ATV closures are a deflection tactic so the government can show they are taking some action, while sidestepping the much more difficult issue of curtailing industrial activity?

Yeah they always talk about "quiet" recreation they somewhat support,so if you insist on brapppn yer kayak down the river keep the yip yippees low decibels.

Where do these meatheads get their ideas from? In the 10+ years I have been riding in the Kakwa area I have never come across a Caribou track, let alone a Caribou.

It's really too bad that the people that fight pipelines because of a "lack of public consultation" are the same people that want to prohibit recreation in areas without public consultation.
