I read or heard that you can repeat surveys as many times as you want?? I would be very leary of doing that, they could say there were too many surveys coming from one I.P. address and discard them. The people who are conducting the surveys (government) can twist them any way they to want to make the majority of the population to be in favor of the changes being proposed in the Big Horn.

The survey in the original post was more or less meaningless. However, it doesn't hurt to demonstrate how unpopular the parks proposal is in every available forum. The REAL survey, the one that counts (supposedly) is here - be sure to refer to the survey guide: https://mailchi.mp/e353dcd39886/aoh...to-enjoy-the-back-country-595353?e=76b6406c40

The survey is very deceiving on how to answer. for example, "Do you support or not support the designated trails?" What answer is correct to not support the bighorn proposal? If you do not support, then if the bighorn goes through, we don't get designated trails either?

I'm kinda a dork when it comes to computers however I made this so that its easier and quicker to copy and paste....
I also printed off the questionnaire to keep track as I go...

I DO NOT support this area being made into a park, or the commercial development of our backcountry

I DO NOT support this area being made into a park, It should remain as a Public Land use zone with all current activities

I OPPOSE this area being made into a park

I OPPOSE this area being made into a PRA

I OPPOSE this area being made into a PRA or any formal commercial tourism infrastructure

I OPPOSE this area being made into a PRA and want it to remain as a Public Land Use Zone

I DO NOT support this area being made into a park, or the commercial tourism development of our backcountry

This area should remain exactly as the public land zone it is, and should work with and support the current clubs and recreation associations for the current activities

I OPPOSE this area being made into a public land use zone based on this governments proven actions to date. There is no planning framework to include the recreational organizations as decision makers respective of the recreation and this plan will only result in the loss of my access to recreation as proven in the castle , livingstone and porcupine hills and elswhere in Alberta

I COMPLETELY OPPOSE this Bighorn Proposal and the fact that it is being done separately from the regional plan.

not sure what you are looking at , but that is the y2y form letter to the alberta government that is worded to shut the bighorn down?????????
Yes, but you can edit it.

You can say you do not support the new park and it will be sent to the minister's office via the Y2Y's email server.

This is what is in the text box.

I support the proposal for Alberta's Bighorn Country.

Thank you for your government’s enlightened commitment to the protection of Alberta’s natural places and for taking steps to ensure future generations have an opportunity to experience the wildness of Bighorn Country.

Bighorn Country concept is of tremendous value not only to Albertans but to our nation as a whole, in advancing towards Canada’s Target 1 commitment to protect 17% of our lands by 2020.

Following on your recent actions to protect the headwaters of the Oldman watershed by creating the Castle parks, as well as designating the world's largest area of protected boreal forest, the Bighorn Country proposal shows your government’s recognition of the environmental, social, and economic value of conservation.

Preserving the headwaters of the North Saskatchewan River to ensure that clean and abundant drinking water flows for future generations is a goal many Albertans support and have been working towards for decades. Additionally, protecting the Bighorn’s lands and waters is essential to helping Alberta’s vulnerable and iconic wildlife, such as grizzly bear, wolverine, and bull trout, adapt to a changing climate.

I welcome the opportunity to engage in the development of a park management plan and collectively shape a future for the Bighorn that balances conservation, preservation, and sustainable recreation opportunities.

Thank you,

Delete that.
And replace with this.

I do not support the purposed Bighorn Park.

I also do not support our provincial government catering to foreign intrests groups.

If you want any chance of winning the next election I suggest you drop this proposal immediately.

Please try to attend, media will be covering this!
There will be a rally in Rocky Mountain House on Saturday January 26 at 1:30 PM in front of the Government building on 51 St. We have a week to get a good turn out. Maybe we can get some support from the people under 50 this time. Please spread the word. Our goal is to put an end the the Bighorn land Grab by the NDP.
