I think y'all are too late.. this ideology inflicting NDPee govt have already made their decisions... That is my belief :(

i agree but if there is just one chance in a thousand, we need to cling to it like rats on a raft, going down the North Saskatchewan.

We all know you're right BUT it is still important to get your letters in and fill out the surveys so there is a record of opposition to these closures. If the survey reveals that Albertans support the RAC's recommendations, we may have some recourse down the road.

Commented on survey :

“ As a born and raised Albertan, this is our land, to be enjoyed in many different facets.
We are diverse, and land can be conscientiously enjoyed by hiking, biking , camping, OHV , RV, boating , hunting, fishing . Some residents of this province never leave the urban areas, and that is their choice, while others would like to enjoy the lands, again a choice. Winters are long here, summers are short , so we as Albertans have a right to enjoy our land responsibly , with what ever our hobbies entail , while following the laws. “

Quick story side note:

Remember years ago RVing and biking/ quaking in Montana. I asked a local where a good area to use OHV,s.
He looked at me strange and pointed West, you can go that way to the mountains, he pointed East , prairie flatter riding is that way .
Points another direction, rivers and valley riding that way. I tried to explain crown land , how it works, the rules to him in Canada, and he interrupted me. What you see is our land, our fore fathers fought for this land , and we will continue to defend it. In return we get to enjoy it . It belongs to the people. While they still have BLM ( Bureau of Land Management) that does
restrict certain areas to OHV, it seems the average citizen has a greater right to decide how areas are managed, and enjoyed.
They seem to have a great balance and attitude to both the land and taxpayers........
