Bought a new hand saw today for sledding and light trail repair and thought I’d start a new thread for the year. Post pics and stories here from the year and help keep our trails clear and litter free. Here’s to a safe and responsible year enjoying our favorite trails!

Those are good saws but are hard on riding gloves. They will cut
Makes me think of this....

Stihl makes the best hand saws.
They do not break easily but we have had guys break 2 so far.
Remember — They are a PULL saw and are meant to cut on the pull stroke.
If you push hard on the PUSH stoke the blade will bind and snap the blade.

Tri-County Snowmobile Club bought 12 of the Stihl PS90 hand saws with scabors (see pic below) then passed them out to our maintence crew.
Main chain saw crew goes first clearing fallen trees from trail, then the hand saw guys next clear the branches sticking out.
Now when we do trail maintenance everyone has a saw and we leep frog down the trails clearing any branches the stick out.
Because this model of saw has a scabor most guys carry them on their quads and sleds.
So it is a win win for everyone - they get a saw and will clear most any trail they ride.

I wish it had the scabbard, so i just duct taped the cardboard package up to protect the other stuff in the pack, for now. Maybe could use it for fire starter in an emergency haha. Not sure what model this is but it was $36 in Rocky
