The fernie snowmobile ass. is hosting a family ride on Saturday the 30th. We will be leaving the Coal Creek staging area at 10am and there is a free lunch at the rolling hills cabin at noon. All is welcome. It is called the Bob Arnott memorial family ride. Hope to see lots of people of all ages. Any questions please PM me.

Stopped in traffic between sparwood and hosmer for those heading to fernie. Not sure why but it's backed up into the 4 lanes.

Ya I just looked on drivebc. FFS
So close to town yet..

That happened to us last year in sicamous. Accident shut down the highway 2 kms from town. Sat on the road for 5 hours, only to get to town eventually and find out the beer stores closed 10 mins early. mother effers.

At least the trucker channel is comical. They really hate sledders. Haha.

The hate between truckers is even better entertainment.

Parking is worse and the riding area is the same. Just a different access point.
Where is the staging at down the coal creek road? We're coming Tuesday for a couple days and would probably ride from that side on the day we travel and is that road radio controlled?

Right beside the rifle range (3-4 km from the last house). Logging is finished, therefore, no more radios on Coal Creek road.

Thanks doug. How far of a hike is it down to it from 3?
Geez I just got the radio installed in the truck.

Turn left at the last set of lights. Go to a 4-way stop and go straight and cross the railroad tracks and turn right. Then the second left turn onto Coal creek road about 2 blocks) and follow that for 4-5 km.
