Going on a family ski trip to panorama leaving today and staying in Windermere. We're bringing a few sleds aNd hope to get a couple days riding in, is there any decent riding and snow in the area or are we better off going to the crowsnest or golden areas? Don't mind driving to either for the day but if there is good snow and terrain 20 minutes away that would be great.

Looking at maps the brewer, Forster and rocky point area all seem close but I don't know anything about them.

any tips are appreciated

You're not too far from the Silver Mines/Silent Pass area south of Golden. It's been a few years since I was there but both are amazing areas.

Sounds like silent will be a gong show to get into. They have stopped plowing the road. So its 45km of bumpy single track up. Go to forester id say. You shouldnt be disappointed. Lots of good tree riding and alpine riding. And the glacier just opened up. So should be lots of fresh up there! Last week i was out in forester in 3-4 feet of fresh!
