saaaay what?

Needs snow. Its better towards Kaslo but still low compared to last winter which was one of the best Xmas periods I had in those parts. Normally I do not even look at the Kootenays for real good riding until after Xmas.

Starting from the Kootenay pass, Bombi into Castlegar snow pack is low. You can ride right from the Bombi pass which is great but again not much depth. Under 120cm most spots. Wasn't ideal.

Into the Norns, access wasn't great and logging from both Goose and Norns ends. Little more snow though up top. Still under 140cm but some secret stashes were closer to 200cm.

Towards Sixmile, 9mile, About the same. Meadow Mtn was closer to 6 feet but had seen heavy traffic. I believe the ski tenure takes over this week? Or already has. Some logging going on there and were driving up but that was before this past weeks snow and it was snowing down low.

So currently not better than the same period last year, I would say its average to what I have seen out there for early to mid December. I would normally be heading out for Xmas but given the current conditions I am undecided.
