Strapping suggestions

In a couple weeks we will be taking our quads and car topper boat into Jackson lake. We would normally take 2 vehicles ( one for the quads the other tows the boat) but this time im using the 24' flat deck trailer and tow the whole thing with the truck.
I think ill put the sportsman first followed by the AC with the boat trailer. Ill strap the quads down the same as the regular trailer x style. The boat trailer is the trick ( its only a 12' boat on a 5x9 cargo trailer with the gear). I have 4 axle straps to secure the trailer but want to support the trailer tongue so the bounces dont affect the cats suspension or trailer jack. Any thoughts on the best way to go about it?

Make a block the right height to wedge under hitch and strap it tight.

X2, also if you're pulling your straps forward on your axles, be sure to pull the strap on your tongue back , this will prevent movement. Straight up and down and it could still move forward on a heavy break application. I would also use a heavier strap on the tongue as well for this reason and give the strap a wrap around the tongue to keep it from moving on the tongue. Just my .02, my philosophy is better safe than sorry

I would block the hitch as suggested the use four good straps two at each end crossed side to side. That thing won't go anywhere. Used to strap cars, trucks and travel trailers like that on the flat deck tow truck never had and issue.

Thanks for the input guys. I was also considering blocking the trailer tongue, just wanted some other views. Thats what forums like this are for.
I have a design in mind for our welder to fab up a bracket to support the trailer. Plate bottom ill lag into the wood deck with a u shapped sadddle to cradle the trailer. Then axle straps forward and back and one more over the tongue to eliminate the side to side. Should work well (just have to remeber to pack the good old makita impact!)

I've seen some that if you have the room on your trailer, mount a ball through the deck. Load quad and trailer, unhook trailer and hook the hitch to the ball mounted to / threw the deck and just strap down the backend of the trailer.

Another option would be to strap the tongue and use tire straps over the trailer wheels, Used to love the tire straps when i ran wrecker.

Put a ball on your quad and pull the boat trailer with the quad. You can drop the jack on the trailer to take the load of the quad axle once its loaded. My old foreman with its strait axle pulls a carries a heck of a load the only thing you have to watch for with heavy loads up a ramp is a moon shot, Just put your wife on the front rack if you have a problem. It works great they like it!

Thats a great idea. I even have an extra ball from an old garden tractor (5/8 thread for light duty chit) that would be ideal. Ill shearvthe thread and weld it directly to the 2x2 post .
