We have mcsnet at our cabin, and they just put a tower up on our yard. Both properties are excellent on speed and reliability. Speed never drops below 18 mbps. And is usually around 22-25. $99 for 500MB.

No wireless option where I'm at. Satellite or LTE/3G from the big Telco's. Might have to give the smart hub a try, free 2 week trial if it's not what it's cracked up to be.
I did try and call Telus and talk a sales guy who was clueless so not off to a good start. Pretty sure he was offshore and didn't understand some people live in counties, not cities.

We got a smart hub Don, works awesome

Faster than xplorernet by a hole ton, no router needed

Glad we waited till someone came out with one

Only thing is the the range for WiFi could be a bit bigger

you can add a regular d-link or linksys router to that hub, turn off the wifi on the hub and use the wifi on the router.

I tried, but you have to hook it into a main computer, then out

I.d need a 50 foot cable to do that lol

Has anyone tried one of them WiFi boosters ???

I'm in parkland and my explornet is experience is terrible.

Speeds are so slow it's like old dial up if it's working. But do a speed check and it says it's as advertised. Do a google search and there is a bunch of shat stated about them throttling speeds to specific sites etc.

Can't even watch a 1 min Video post with out it stopping to load 3 times. Net flicks or streaming video is not even an option.

Customer service is alway crappy too. Long hold times before talking to someone. Then they always blame it on other **** like the router. 3 new routers over a couple years and the speed is consistently shatty. It might get a bit better for a short period but slows down again. Then we are so sick of being on hold for no resolution we just end up putting up with the bullshat! Also had faulty equipment one time, and it took months for the service tech appointment to come fix it.

Right Now it's the worst it has ever been.

Our cell service sucks too so that's not a option.

Would not recommend explornet!!!!!!!
I'm in Sturgeon County and it's the same thing with Xplornet they are absolutely terrible! I'm currently trying to get out of my contract because they are not holding up their end of it, half the time I don't even have internet service. they are not enthusiastic about that... they really don't want to let me out of my contract without paying the $400

Well we thought we had the world by the tail... we were with xplornet around the GBCA area, ditched that and went with the telus hub, worked excellent for the first 2 months and now the last month has been horrible, repeated attempts of contacting telus (16) and it looks like they overloaded the system. They have given us the option to discontinue if we choose. Might have to tuck tail and go back to xplornet... Let me tell you when it worked it was saweeet.

We tried the Telus thing, was supposed to be unlimited for $150/month. No wonder, so slow couldn't even open the browser. Went back to Rogers for the same as what your paying

Ok got the router hooked to hub with cable, the router shows up on the WiFi list, put the password code in from bottom but still don't work

Now with the router hooked in to the hub, how does it get past the hub password???

Think that's the issue
