Really good customer service if there is a problem. 6 years only phoned twice gets a little slow through the wireless router with 8 iPhones, 2 iPads, ps3, 2 blackberrys and 2 lap tops running. But it's to be expected.

Yup, that was my only complaint to them during the 1st couple of years.....customer service was available only during the day....after 6:00 you were on your own.....they have since fixed that with 24 hour helpline - -this little company that started in St Paul is now the largest wireless internet provider in western Canada

So I have calls into Xplornet and CCI Wireless as they both cover this area. One thing I noticed is CCI has unlimited download, while Xnet is 20 Gb or 5 bucks more for 100 Gb. (I rarely go over 25-35 Gb a month now, so I can't see that changing).

Any words of wisdom about either one? I see some positive and negative votes for Xnet, but not much data on CCI. I would be using them for phone as well if that makes any difference.

I use the telus air card and haven't had an issue. It's 4G was cheap and works everywhere. Mind you I'm not on the net all day either I just check emails and the odd sport site. Porn might take longer to download I guess lol.

Biggest package I saw with Telus was 10 gig a month.....not gonna cut it for Netflix, internet, downloads, etc.....

I use xplornet as well and have been since 2006 and they have been great. Not as fast as telus and it's a bit more expensive. There customer service is awesome! Any time I have ever had an issue ther has always been a very nice person that speaks great English that helps me out. I think I have only called them a few times when I thought there was an issue but most of the time it was router issues on my end.

We went with CCI Wireless. Had Xplornet...nothing but troubles. Had Rogers outdoor modem and was great untill they discontinued the service. Tried out the Rocket hub and was junk. We are very happy with CCI. Kids can actually download stuff and we can watch netflix without problems.

Got CCI hooked up today. Did a "speed test" and it is as advertised....unlike my old Telus at home.

CCI has a contest and promotion that if anyone signs up and uses you as a reference, you get entered in a draw for a vacation and get 1 month free service

Hows the speed?
I am on the "Pro Plan" (middle of the road deal) and it is advertised at 4.0 Mbps download and 0.75 Mbps upload.....the test showed 4.75 and 0.85 (I checked again just now). My Telus "Hi Speed" in Penhold was 0.65 down and 0.54 up.....HORRIBLE. I watched Netflix with no stutters for the first time last night.....

great experience with the telus smarthub here. crazy fast compared to our old wireless internet, and cheaper too. we're on the 250GB package, could never use netflix or any other streaming service before we got it.

I'm in parkland and my explornet is experience is terrible.

Speeds are so slow it's like old dial up if it's working. But do a speed check and it says it's as advertised. Do a google search and there is a bunch of shat stated about them throttling speeds to specific sites etc.

Can't even watch a 1 min Video post with out it stopping to load 3 times. Net flicks or streaming video is not even an option.

Customer service is alway crappy too. Long hold times before talking to someone. Then they always blame it on other **** like the router. 3 new routers over a couple years and the speed is consistently shatty. It might get a bit better for a short period but slows down again. Then we are so sick of being on hold for no resolution we just end up putting up with the bullshat! Also had faulty equipment one time, and it took months for the service tech appointment to come fix it.

Right Now it's the worst it has ever been.

Our cell service sucks too so that's not a option.

Would not recommend explornet!!!!!!!
