Do you have to define it as a field. I had one a ways back but not sure if I remember anymore. I to have moved everything to JD guidance

Changing global weather patterns are changing the global grain production model.Europe has traditionally been the powerhouse grain producer, with average yields that a North American farmer couldn’t use as the best-case scenario. That productive capacity took a big step backwards in 2018. Yields in Europe dropped dramatically. Production in Germany is 75% of last year. Europe gets it’s ample rainfall from the Gulf Stream – the convection current in the Atlantic Ocean thatbrings moisture from the Caribbean to western Europe. The Greenland ice cap is melting and pouring vast quantities of fresh water into the North Atlantic, disrupting the flow of the Gulf Stream. That means less moisture for Europe. Europeans can’t believe how hot and dry they have become, seemingly overnight. That disruption of the Gulf Stream is probably only going to get worse. A dry western Europe also means a dry Russia andMiddle East.

Me think people tend to think global weather patterns changing are thinking in too short a time period to call it that. Yesterday Red deer broke a high record from 1941, I wonder if people in 41 were thinking the world was in a global warming trend too, lol.

Haha I agree completely, but this kind of propaganda fuels the markets.

I don't think anybody walking the earth has enough data to even comprehend what the world is capable of. Dinosaurs once walked the earth in a tropical environment (so they say). we had a ice age (so they say). The world was covered in water from a 40 day rain (so they say).
That is probably the most accurate statement I have ever heard regarding climate and weather.

any of you guys grow alfalfa and what is your seeding recomendation
For seed production or feed? Like most things there are multiple ways to do it. My recommendation if your doing bigger acres is use a disc drill and plan two passes, one perpendicular to the other. As for seed rate and type you will have to adjust to your specific area. If there are any good looking crops in your area go talk to the farmer and see what he did.
