I quit smoking cold turkey but I stopped drinking as well for 6months , drinking and smoking go hand in hand. The had a few drinks and had no desire to smoke . It’s been 18 years trued many different ways to quit but that worked for me.

If weight gain is a problem, there is a lot to be said for cutting out sugar (and things that contain a large amount of sugar like pop, ketchup, fruit juice, pastries, etc., etc.) and bread (actually the white wheat flour that is in a lot of things).

100% yes to a lot of this. But one thing I was told that made a lot of sense...…

I smoked for 27 years, my metabolism got use to being a smokers metabolism. Once I quit, I was told my body has to re-unlearn a smokers metabolism and begin to become a non smokers metabolism. Which to me, still makes a lot of sense...

The biggest thing I have noticed (other than weight lol) is how much better my circulation got. I use to freeze on a +10 day and now -20 doesn't phase me.....
