The last time I went to Vegas I was sitting beside a group who went to bristol every year. They advised me to go to the fall race because the bugs are usually real bad for the spring race.

Bnorth, wasnt sure what type of info your looking for. Just in general question or info. Are you camping or hotel? There is alot campgrounds around the race track. If it rains, camp grounds look like it would be a mud pit. I stayed in hotel, make you check around for rates. All the hotels jack the price of the rooms thru the roof that weekend. Think paided 220 for 1 nite in soso place. Another neat trick they pull, you cant cancel room after you book it. They charge you no matter what. Look into that part forsure. The track isnt near a town, the town of Bristol TN is 8 miles away. Forgot names, but there is couple of towns in the area. No matter you will have to drive to a hotel. The traffic after the race is a gong show. 100,000s+ want bees nascar drivers all try to leave @ the same time. Have to have alot of patince after the race in the dark & have you gps/route planned out. The track is really cool setting, on top of hill. There whole area in hills, they call them mountians, I laughed. Ford & Toyota had booths there, other 2 no shows. If you had a toyota key, free food/water on them for the day. I flew, so my toyota key was @ home, damn. Ford was giving away cars/cash/etc. For seats, the nice lady that help me. She said to sit above the fence in the red seats. After 3 to 4 hrs you will see why. The other seats are aluminum benchs. The red seats have cushions & arm rests. So you get a seat, the aluminum benchs are hip against hip. Sitting above the catch fence it better also, I noticed that fence a pain to see when I walked down lower to see the view. Make sure you have ear plugs! If you want to talk to each other take pen/paper, you will see why. You cant hear nothing but 43 cars, after awhile it was annoying. The smell of exhaust gets to you after awhile. I have worked on gas/diesel since 1993, so doesnt bother me. But Bristol pushed the limit of fumes. When I was there, it was hot. Pushing the 100F all day, nite it cooled off abit. The food vendors arent cheap, I sugguest taking your own food/drink. As for the nite race the best thing to go in nascar. Not sure, I went to Talledega, had a blast. Party in the infield for couple days. Got to me Richard Petty & some other drivers. Rode in a car @ Daytonna @ 175mph, looking out @ the wall. Seemed really fast. Went to Indy couple weeks ago. Never again, bad track to watch racing. But glad I went cause its INDY more than any reason. Been outside Michigan, I think that would be a good track to watch. I get more out of the adventure than anything. Something we dont have here, so in the long run its all good. Before the Bristol race, I went to the nationwide race in Montreal. Really cool setting were the track is, most people dont like Jacque. I do, the man can drive a road coarse! I paided just over a 100bucks for 1 seat for Bristol. They sure want you to come back, they emailed me, called my cell, left message @ house. Just making sure my experince was up to par. Anything they could make better, change, etc. I didnt like the outcome of the race I went to, as Brad K won. Cant stand the that guy, yes he can drive. Too bad he driving a Ford now. Not sure on your time frame, if you have time. Drive over to Charlotte NC, see the HOF & race shops. Sorry for the long winded post, anymore ?'s. Just ask.

As for The Bristol race, been there twice- both for spring races. Never had any issues with bugs. Sat in row 53 start/ finish both times. 53 sounds high but it's not, it's about middle of the main bowl and you see all the track. Booked through nascartours.com, they looked after everything- tickets, hotels, transportation to track.....everything. Price was reasonable. Hotels we stayed at were in Ashville, Tenn.
