Dang...

JR was soooo close to winning today, but again, like always, dissapointed in the final laps...

But...closest he has been in quite some time. I guess I will keep rootin for him a bit longer.

Exciting final 30 laps...

I haven't watched NASCAR for so long.......

Ya kinda disappointing - he was very close ! Maybe next time. Was a good race - alot of betting and banging. Im still trying to figure out the new points system

I love Junior but the biggest complaint about him behind the scenes is he is outa shape and lets down at the end of the races. Martinsville is a grueling race. You need to be in great shape to keep your head in it when the going gets tough. He will win soon though. :beer:

43 cars start the race so 1st place gets 43 and 43rd gets 1 point (and I think they get one for winning and maybe 1 for leading a lap) they have really simplified it this year :beer:

I was going to start a thread just for NASCAR talk where people could talk about news during the week and the weekends race. That way we wouldn't have to start a new thread every week

On another note I fell asleep with 100 to go and woke up to 15 to go. I have always been pulling for jr but sometimes it gets tough but this year he has Been giving us a lot to talk about, hopefully he can keep up the good work and can get back to his winning ways! I have really became a big fan of harvicks since jr has been in his slump but today I was pulling for jr!

You get 3 points for a win and 1 point each for leading a lap or leading the most laps. I think it would be a great idea to have a weekly thread just for Nascar races. :d :beer:

Have also been routing for JR since the intimidator passed on . Jr has always seems to start well, then falls back - like the crew chief wasnt adjusting the car for the track or Jr wasnt giving the crew chief enough feedback. maybe this year win turn around with the new CC and we'll see him back out front

Well the points system seems alot easier - so am I seeing that with this points system it would be easier to recover in the points when you have a poor finish! So when does the chase start - Is it still the top 12
