Telus Users IMPORTANT

Some Telus users at this time cannot connect with this site at all. Im having the same problems on the work computer as well, It just goes to three bars and sits there. But on my laptop in the same location Im on with no problem. At Sledderglens place we can get on when we clear all internet info, but only for about 4-6 views and it goes dead again. Telus did some updates Friday evening, and since then its been dead, and you can sit on hold to talk to them for hours and never get an answer just listen to some music.

Ive had the same problem with T**** and my house phone line. which interferes with the house alarm. No one will come to fix it??? hummm. So I unplugged the phone and the alarm is ok now. Go figure. My computer is on Shaw. I think Ill switch it all over. I personally cant stand T****.

I don't know why you would have to **** out after the T part. I don't think there is anyone there who gives a rats butt what anyone thinks.

Telus DSL users

Well, after being on hold since 8:00 its now 10:24 and finally got through to Telus. There is nothing they will do to correct this problem where no one can access my server through the net on TELUS. I have absolutly no problems with Shaw and I see most users are in through Shaw. Local telus users cannot get in, it just haults for ever.

Sledderglen cant get in from home, I was at his place for 3 hrs the other day
Sledbunnyracing from work is dead
Krazy K I noticed could not get in
I can get in from work on my laptop but nothing on my desktop

The sites affected are all on the alberta.snowandmud server which is in Dallas Texas.

thedieselsite.ca

I will ask the webhost to change update my DNS address and see if that works if not, I will have to change the DNS address which could put the site down for up to 24 hours while the update is being done.

Sorry for any inconviences this may cause, Ive been working all weekend and the web host to come up with a solution. Telus will not assist with this in any way.

I use Telus high speed and am not having issues...today.

However, don't get me started about their wireless service. Dropped their mobile service and have been very happy with my new carrier. Actually, I have never been treated better by any other carrier as I have been by Rogers.

I am on Telus in Medicine Hat/Redcliff and have no problems at all. Can be on here for hours, the only problem then is the wife :nono:

If I could type with more than one finger I would fill a whole page with a Telus rant.Long story short,shaw internet is great Rogers is better than Telus,looking at shaw digital phone.Any input?

Got an email from Telus today, they checked and dont feel theres any problems, they can access the site from there systems no problems.

WHY can't we? I suggest we start calling there Tech department If you can get a hold of them and start putting the pressure on. Otherwise the site will not work for you.. Oh heres the phone number,
310-3100 is there number. Please call when your on your computer so they can see the problem. If they get enough calls they may decide to do somthing, Right :shrug:

The Webhost I use for the site has tried everything, I have tried working with telus and they are not very helpfull, and don't care. They simply told me that. :rant:

I think its time to switch my phone to shaw as well at home.

This is not every Telus user, just about 50% of them. I recieved 119 emails yesterday so far that said they cant get in. 99 of them are Telus and one is Whispernet in Peace River. If your a member and can't get on but can see this message from another computer and your computer smart, can you email me a Tracert from your computer.

From Windows,

Run, CMD

> tracert snowandmud.com

Then after thats done right click and Mark, using mouse make all white, then keeping white, minimize.

Open up email, compose message and

Right Click and Paste
It should past the trace route to the email then send it to me
In the Subject put DOES NOT WORK

Its now fixed

its fixed, after over 30 man hrs of work this problem is finally fixed. Our sever seemed to of been banned on some of telus's computers. Im not sure how or what happened but hats of to Joey from Real Web Host for his hard work to fix this. I still have to look into why this happened but now you can access the site again.

I'm pretty sure you can track the root of the problem back to FAB1.

Hey Ron, as a resident of Peace River, and former Whispernet user, their internet service just down right sucks! While using it, I would say 30% of all the websites I frequented on their didn't work (including SnowandMud, when I had Whispernet last Feb & March).
Now I use Persona....

I am curious to see if the fix you guys made worked on the Whispernet provider?

I am with Telus and in Camrose. I had no issues whatsoever. Maybe my traffice was routed differently than others experiencing the problems? Maybe just lucky?
