Unfortunately when the sledbunnyracing.com site was rebuilt the photos were removed and I did not put them up agian. I would recomend attending any race event...there awesome. There are races in Eckville, I've raced there before, and they are really good.
Here is the link with a bit of info: Info On Eckville Grass Drags

I raced a couple times way back when.... (says the young guy)... raced Alberta Beach a couple years, and Raced trailseekers one year (Trailseekers no longer does drags). Its definitely a good time, and I'd do it again in a flash

Was the trailseekers race the one at mink lake,I raced there one year, got a third in 700 multipipe the old mach1 vrs 3 firecats, the one I beat thought I was cheating.I used to sit on the board for the Wetaskiwin snow drags, gave that up 3 years ago so I could race more.I'm not getting any faster, but we have alot of fun.

Why doesent run a race any more?

Mink Lake would no longer allow us to run there when the new ownership took over. Our new location cost us a lot of money, we now have a trail on the ground so our main focus is in promoting our trail system.

Sat on the board at Wetaskiwin. Sled Bunny Racing (link) was the unofficial photo site back then and Nicole would send people there all the time to see pictures. I also donated the Racer and Volunteer decal for the event for 4 years. With the change in the committee I didn't hear from James Flint at all last year. Great event and you must be proud to be attached.

After last year most of the old committee were talking of coming back this year (Nicole included),we all worked for allot of years to get that race up to the calibre it was. Not to bash James,he got allot dumped on his plate last year,5 long time organisers left and thats allot for 2 main organisers to do.

In my head
I got into drag racing last year. First one was Wetaskiwin and I learned a lot! Track was really icey so the fun factor was not as high as I would have liked it to be. Took what I learned there and ran the races at Alberta Beach. Managed a fourth overall in one of the classes on one of my 2 sleds. I figured that was not too bad for my second time out. Learned even more, had a lot more fun. It's a blast and can be really addicting. I have considered grass draggin this year but hear it's a whole other game. Looking forward to all the races this year. If anyone knows where they are and would post the sites I would be thankful. I can find a schedule for the sanctioned races, but info on the smaller, community type races is very limited and poorly advertised.

Big job for one guy to take over if a group of the old timers move on. Good luck.
Hopefully the races won't fall on the same weekend as the S&M mountain Mania.

Eckville is worth going to, even as a fan. Unfortunately it's Thanksgiving and I had to choose between being Married and Racing...well for a while racing won....
