Backyard handyman method for flaring copper coil end?

This site is always great for ideas to solve little home job issues so here is another for the smart and handy....

I'm too cheap to buy a flaring tool for a one off job and not the kind of guy who would be comfortable buying it, using it and returning it. Need to flare end of 3/8" copper coil. Any ideas on how to do that the backyard handyman way?

That would be to easy...lol, and I would get caught up looking at sled vids, epic fails and truck reviews. Work wouldn't get done.
