No this isn't a trap.

I've got an electric guitar, amp, tuner, cords, some picks etc. That I have never picked up to learn to play and really don't have the drive to.

I got it years ago, from my cousin on trade for some car audio equipment.

I'd like to give it away to someones child that is interested in learning guitar. I will deliver within the Parkland County, Spruce/Stony, area, but I want it to go to a child.

PM Me, if you have a kid that would like to learn guitar and could use this equipment.

My boys would totally love this, and i've been talking to them about picking one up. They're 10 and 12.
I'd gladly take it and hope they dive right into learning, and if they change their minds in a few weeks/months, I'd RAK it forward back on this thread.

Done, PM me and we'll make arrangements to get it to you.

My son learned a couple years ago. Wish i had noted his interest long ago. He's even started teaching me a few licks! He's now picked up writing his own stuff and composing on his laptop. Tough to say put it away at 1am on a school night. I'm glad he's focusing on this path and not a less positive one.

Such a great idea, you just made some kids life better. Who knows maybe we will see him jamming some tunes down the road and become the next tom petty. Someone needs to fill those shoes.

Just out of curiosity, what kind/brand of guitar is it?
I'm not even sure. I have to go get it from the storage room in the basement. Regardless it's going to go to a couple of young boys who will hopefully use it and become proficient at the art

Thanks again for the guitar and gear. My youngest (10) is all over it already. Got an guitar lesson app downloaded and he’s on lesson 3 already.

Now I’m going to need to figure out a way to pay it forward.

That's awesome! Best of luck to him in his learnings! Hopefully it all still works. I didn't plug it all in and test it before I loaded it up. Not a high end setup but great to learn and get the feel of the instrument.
