I don’t have an enclosed so cannot really say whats better. They both require power, im not too sure what fuel consumption is comparing the two, but theoretically the diesel unit should be more efficient, as theres more btu/volume of fuel, compared to propane. The couple times I went with guys who had propane heat, they seemed to be fairly conservative with running the heater so they didn’t run out, so not sure how long a tank lasts?? I would like to letter buck all day and come back to a warm trailer if the cost was reasonable. Really really, its a 250 dollar gamble to try the diesel unit, if u like it, sell the propane furnace. If you dont like it, well shoot, Im sure u have pissed Away 250 on dumber things......

Sounds like you buddies are cheap or dropping a hint for you to pitch on propane.

-Interesting buddy has a 35000 or 45000 btu suburban propane furnace on top of his bench. 8000 btu diesel heater might be ok at -1 in revy. Not sure your gonna be drying 4 guys gear with it.

His custom diesel tank isn’t cheap either. The furnace is the cheap part of a full trailer build.

40K btu is standard when you spend the money on a snowmobile trailer. I mounted a free 15k btu low and like anything else I own, I'll run her hard and put her away wet.
