So I’ve finally sat down and narrowed down a budget. 25k is my max as I’ll be paying cash.

After spending quite a bit of time reading about what you guys are buying/driving etc as well as ideas on investing I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m going to be investing 1k a month into stocks. No penny trading for me just long term sit and enjoy dividends sorta deal. Quick thanks to you guys for getting my mind this way, I have t been very good with budgeting at all and saving.

That being said I am wanting to wait until March/April to buy a rig, I chose this date b/c that’s when I grad my tech program. However, I’d like to start the search now in case my current CUV bites the dust.

I am thinking 20k f-150 cc lwb, preferably a 5.0. From what I’ve searched so far I’d be in the 150-200k range. It looks like AB does have more selection and better prices, but I’m concerned with a OP on an older pickup. That being said I’m sure I can ply one of you with beer to take a good luck at a truck for me. I’d like to stay closer to 20 to have that 5 k buffer incase catastrophic failure happens, but for the right rig 25 is not out of the question.

If y’all come across a rig like above please post it up.

150-200k I'd say with your budget you will be able to get something more like 100k km. 13/14 F150s were good but avoid the 11/12's and I would avoid a 15 as well just because it's 1st year of the new model. Probably can't find a 6.2 GM in that price range I'd look at a Tundra too but will have to spend more or settle for one with higher kms.

For $20k no way should you be getting a truck with more then 100-150k depending on year and options. Watch Kijiji and at some point you'll find a good deal on a private sale from someone who needs out of a truck.

says a guy who rides only the sickest of trails in Toronto...

to the OP, disregard any of the east coast stupidity and do what you fee best. Not all of us are in the same boat as brownnose and with that being said there is a lot to be proud of too.

Quit tripping over nickels, work a bit harder and buy a Lambo.

Not sure I'd be taking advice from a guy who thinks Toronto is on the east coast.

But franken nitro must have a nitro I assume. so at least he knows what brand to ride.

East of Saskatchewan you are a Newfie ha ha ha!

no more nytro’s for this guy, moved back into the turbo 2 stroke world once they could make more than 5 weekends in a row without a melt down.

I’m getting conflicting info on importing OOP, if the dealer is amvic certified can they do the B.C. oop inspection for me beforehand?

And is that new west trade agreement still a thing ?
