I bought a MDT self drive lawn mower from costco years ago, but the deck is almost completely rotted out. So i go online at costco and all they seem to carry now is gay battery lawnmowers that would be lucky to mow 1/3 my lawn and you would have to push like a bastard to get it through the craters. Any good reviews for gas self driving lawn mowers, that have some power?

Honda is where it's at. I've got a Honda HRB 215 that was made in 1994, one of my aunt's bought it new, she sold it to a different uncle, then it was given to me. I checked the valve clearances last year and they were still within spec, the thing still looks new.

As said above it'll probably be the last mower you ever buy.

Battery mowers are fine. You can buy a spare battery. Most even come with a spot you can carry the spare on the mower for a quick change so you don't even need to walk back to the garage.

I phone costcos they do carry gas mowers 160cc in the store, but they had none. So i went looking for the largest cc mower i could find that cub cadet 224cc twin blade mower looked awesome, but this is pg. Settled for the honda 201cc composite deck for 1200 out the door. It started nice, it is raining here right now.. hopefully it does not bog down. I do have the 80volt battery chainsaw so i did briefly consider costcos 80 volt mower so i could have a spare battery for the chainsaw, but my yards are too large.

201cc should be enough, mine is 135cc. I don't have any issues unless I try to cut at high speed through tall thick grass.

It has an engine throttle ( which i have never had before) and variable walking speeds control (another new option). Full throttle, full speed and you are half running. At low throttle it is quiet with no bog, the grass was not tall or thick enough to see if it will bog out though.

The only thing that’s Deere on them is the stickers and colour of the machine . Lol
But who cares as long as it’s getting the job done .

exactly correct, probably only one company that makes all the regular ride'ems but the Deere looks better, its kinda like owning a Tesla, people think you got money cause you got a Deere :)

I never realized how many different mowers cub cadet made, they make a 60 inch zero turn one as well. The honda mower now sits beside my 38 year old honda atc that still runs like new. That might be the reason i bought a honda.
