Battery mowers are fine. You can buy a spare battery. Most even come with a spot you can carry the spare on the mower for a quick change so you don't even need to walk back to the garage.

Yup. I have an 80V Kobalt which is a Greenworks. Going into year 4 with it. I've got just under 4000 sq/ft of lawn and the 2.0ah battery gets me through the whole thing until it gets super thick into July, then I have to switch out batteries with the last bit to go. They now have 3.0ah batteries which would do the whole thing. Mower came with 2 batts and a charger. I've since bought a string trimmer and backpack blower that share the same batteries. Love the mower. It's light. Don't have to keep gas around and it's quiet. Can cut the lawn after the kids are in bed and it doesn't wake them up. Anyone in town with a normal sized lawn, I'd highly recommend.

This thing is a weapon . Lol
Bought it last year for the 15B bagging system and one handle dumping .
Have been using my JD 2320 tractor with 62inch mid mount and mulching kit for years .
The mushroom rings are getting out of hand even with power raking every spring so thought I would try bagging for a year or so to see if it helps ?
3 cylinder diesel Kabota engine , 1999 model year with 1190 hours .
Have spend about a grand on it to get it in good shape including new tires and wheels . Not installed yet as ordered .
These things are just stupid for price new and still look the same . Lol
Quite a machine really .

I would caution against zero turn if you have any slopes. The shopping cart front wheels tend the try to go downhill. Rear steer, front mower is the way to go. I have a JD F725....old, yes, but works soooo well. Gets up tight to the trees, turns on about a 8” radius at the deck, and is much faster than larger (width) mowers I’ve tried.

They usually still have gas mowers in store. Our husqvarna takes a licking and keeps going
I bought a husky ride on 12 years ago and it’s a beast. Mows over roots and rocks and just keeps on going. New blades every season and I’ve replaced 2 bearings over the years but it has always been dependable. Will buy another for sure

The only thing that’s Deere on them is the stickers and colour of the machine . Lol
But who cares as long as it’s getting the job done .
Bought my Deere from home depot and it has a Martin deerline sticker on the back. Would this mean they PDI it or it came through them?

Noticed the same on mine from Lowe’s. Lowe’s said they do their own PDI.

It means that Lowes, Home Depot are just outlets that sell them...any warranty, repairs or service from a Deere dealer.

I don’t think you can even go to a JD dealer and buy parts for the Lowe’s type mowers with green paint . Lol

buy parts? hell they are so cheap you just run them till they break and buy a new one.

Those John Deere tractors are all throw aways, at least if you are spending less than $6k on one. My parents have an L130 I believe, 600hrs on it and every wear part has been replaced at least once. The front end has been done 3 times, the gears wear out so fast, it's an awful design. They finally gave up on it for mowing and bought a zero turn.

Big box stores that have a deere line are in fact built by deere. They are just built to a lower price point to compete with all the other low priced competition. Martin used to come out and do PDI's at the home depot in Spruce Grove and some warranty work. Its just like anything you get what you pay for. A friend of mine is a JD rep, I verified this with him when I purchased my mower years back.

Yup
If it has JD Badging it is a Deere.
The JD knockoff sod by JD dealerships will have Pioneer Badging.
I got same info from a very reliable JD source also.

Sure can. My 08 LA145 came from HD, parts come from Deereline when I need them. Finally had to rebuild the deck this year.
